We take your personal information personally!

When you make a physical purchase, we store your name, address, email, and phone number; and cookies, when you make a digital purchase, your IP address will be accessed as well. We do not save your card or payment information that is kept securely by our payment processor. Now, how is it collected? We get your information when you make a purchase, sign up for our promo Emails, make an account with us, and accept our cookies!

We used cookies for analytics, marketing, pricing, and what you like. The personal information, like addresses, is for shipping and understanding where we sell most. Your email is for downloads, promotions, contact point, and account creation. Your phone number is for contact and promotional material.

We use secure servers, payment processing encryption, and keep up-to-date compliance with digital privacy standards to store your information and keep it off the web. We use Ecwid and Square for our store for payments and your shopping cart. If you want a copy of your personal data we’ve collected, or to have it deleted just fill out the form at the bottom of the page with your request!

Shipping and returns

To you, from us

We do our own shipping, and you will choose on the listing what kind of shipping you want, the order will be sent the same day that it’s placed. We ship with UPS and go based on the weight of the package. We will pre-weigh packages and have the weight along with the shipping price listed, this will automatically be added to the price of the item in the cart.
Standard orders will be 3-5 days, Express is a flat rate of $10 and will be in 2-3 days, and Overnight as close to 24 hours as possible. Overnight Orders over $70 qualify for free shipping.

Those such as our patterns and pattern bundles have no shipping fee or cost, they are sent directly to your email for downloading. If you are having issues with this, please contact our customer support!

Digital products are non-returnable. If there is an issue with the download we can give you a new copy, a trade of equal value, or a refund. We also ask you to share the problem, so it can be fixed for future purchases.
New copies and trades will be instant, but a refund may take up to 3 days for your bank to process.

Physical products have a 30 day return window from when the package says it was delivered. The items must be resealed in the reusable bag and must be in the same state as it was sent out. Return shipping is already prepaid, please contact UPS to drop-off or pick up. (Delivery failure of the item is not included in the same state policy.) Once the item is received and looked over, we will issue a refund or send the trade item. Refunds may take up to three days for your bank to process.

We only take good old-fashioned USD. We do not support any other type of payment or currency.

Physical products such as: amigurumi, hooks, scissors, or other small “Knick-Knacks” are not permitted for individual resale. It is ok to sell an item you made with our yarn.
Digital media is in no way, shape, or form allowed to be reproduced, shared, copied, resold, by the purchaser of the item. You may sell finished objects you complete with a pattern as long as proper credit is given.

Northern Lights Yarns is not responsible for the misuse, or wrongful creations that incorporated any purchased product from our store. This includes all physical and digital media that is here past, present up on our site. You as the customer are responsible for giving us the correct name, address, email, phone number, and payment information; this can impact on our return policy. This applies to digital and physical items we sell. We do not and will not tamper with your information, even wrong information is kept safe!
